“The perfect cure for Insomnia”: Stephen A. Smith TROLLS Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos following their HORRIFIC performance

Stephen A. Smith is concerned about Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos have turned out one of the most underwhelming teams in the NFL, with a lot of expectations following the arrival of Russell Wilson and multiple vets with experience. The team has been able to fill up every position on the roster with talent. However, though the roster looks formidable and Super Bowl bound on paper, that has been far from the reality. The Broncos are struggling and it is painful to watch them play.

Russell Wilson has always been a show-stopper. We know the quarterback for his leadership, his cannon of an arm, and, most importantly, his vision on the field. He always knows who is open and who to throw the ball to, but in last night’s game against the Indianapolis Colts, Russell Wilson looked like a blind man scrambling for his life. With a throw to the end zone in the overtime being intercepted by Stephon Gilmore and missing out on sighting a wide-open, K.J. Hamler last night was nothing short of forgettable for him.

“They were just AWFUL”: Stephen A. Smith is shocked at the state of the Broncos offense.

Stephen A. Smith expresses his disappointment with Russell Wilson’s performance so far.

ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith called out Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos HC Nathaniel Hackett for the team’s underwhelming performance. This is what he had to say, “Last night watching the Broncos, it was the perfect cure for insomnia. It was awful they were just awful, and this offense, it’s just bad right now,” that’s a hurtful thing to say, Stephen. But Broncos fans will agree with the analyst on this as half of the stadium was empty after three quarters into the game. It was that bad.

Criticizing HC Nathaniel Hackett, Smith adds, ” (Nathaniel) Hackett is supposed to be an offensive mind, but he doesn’t look like one, Russell Wilson is supposed to be a future Hall of Famer but doesn’t look like one. We know what Courtland Sutton can do, but the bottom line is you are not getting him the football, not as much as you need to. You just look at Denver right now, it’s one of the most horrific offenses in the NFL right now. There is nothing positive that one can really add about the Broncos after last night’s performance.

Speaking on Russell Wilson, the contract may have secured the bag by signing with the Broncos and getting a guaranteed amount of $165 million, but he seems to be fumbling the ball more than ever. “The only good thing you can say about him right now (Russell Wilson) is that he has a beautiful wife, that’s it. He knows he’s not getting the job done, he’s underachieving, and he’s not living up to the expectations. None of us anticipated that he would look this bad,” Smith criticizes Wilson.

However, the analyst does not believe that all hope is lost for the Broncos; he remains optimistic and expects the team to bounce back from this slump. “I don’t think it can get worse, you’re going to be serviceable, you are going to be better than 2-18 in the red zone, you are actually going to be hit wide receivers when they are wide open. When you are God awful, there is no way to go but up, and that’s where we are with the Denver Broncos offense,” Stephen A. concludes.

Despite their struggles this season, Denver can still get it together. There is time left in the season and the team can still live up to the expectations that it created in the minds of fans provided that Russell Wilson begins to play like his old self in Seattle.
