Tee Higgins is not having a good campaign in his contract year
The Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins is currently playing in the final year of his rookie deal. He hasn’t signed a contract extension with the Cincinnati-based franchise so far.
He was expected to have a breakout campaign in his contract year. But so far, his campaign has been lackluster, to say the least. After constant struggles, Higgins finally managed to have a breakout game earlier this month as he caught 8 passes for 110 yards against the Buffalo Bills.
But, since then, he has missed the next two consecutive games with a hamstring injury. He is, however, expected to play in the Bengals week 12 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, barring any setbacks in his recovery.
Higgins still has a lot of time to turn around his campaign, But, so far, he has only caught 27 passes for 328 yards and 2 touchdowns through the first 11 weeks, which are low numbers for his standards. Hopefully, he can overcome his injury struggles and turn around his campaign.
