In a bid to improve the general well-being of players in the NFL, the NFL Players Association along with President JC Tretter has launched the first edition of the NFL Players Team Report Cards.

The aim of the NFLPA Team Report cards is to “improve the overall working conditions” of players, “help them make important career decisions” as well as to “help raise standards across the league.”

The report comprises inputs from over 1300 players in the NFL and, based on the surveys conducted, a rating has been given to the teams. The report was conducted with all 32 teams in the NFL and grades have been assigned based on various categories.

With the report cards out in a major surprise, Super Bowl LVII champions have ranked as low as 29th. It’s really astounding to find out that the best team of the season is unable to take proper care of its players and there are gaping holes present in the management.

The major areas in which the Kansas City Chiefs were found lacking are training room (D+, T-24th), training staff (D-, 32nd), locker room (D-, T-28th), and team travel (F, T-28th). One of the major concerns the players expressed was with head trainer Rick Burkholder. However, they do not have a problem with the rest of the staff.

Additionally, they also complained about the cafeteria not having an adequate amount of food, not getting proper care, and “discouraged from reporting their injuries”. Also, travel arrangements were not up to the mark, with junior players having to share their rooms.

It is obvious that after this information was made public, many people were outraged by the report. Check out the best NFL Twitter reactions to the Kansas City Chiefs’ dismal NFLPA Team Report card.
