Tom Brady retired unceremoniously after dominating the NFL for 23 seasons. The former Bucs QB won a Super Bowl title with the Tampa Bay-based team. However, the time finally caught up to him and Brady’s form seriously faltered during the course of the previous season.
The Bucs were eliminated in the wild-card playoff round by the Dallas Cowboys and also had a terrible regular season record.
Bruce Arians, senior advisor and former HC of the Bucs recently gave his take on Brady’s retirement and the Bucs from last season.
Arians was featured on the Rich Eisen show and spoke about the various reasons behind the Bucs’ miserable season. The former Bucs HC believes injuries were the primary season that the team of Tampa Bay wasn’t able to maintain some consistency.
Arians also pointed out that Brady wasn’t himself as his form had really taken a hit due to his personal woes with ex-wife Gisele Bündchen. “Tom wasn’t himself, you know, with all the things that were going on. And I got to give him all the credit in the world for battling through what he went through last year for his teammates. I think the world of him, but it wasn’t the real Tom Brady out there,” Bruce Arians stated on the Rich Eisen Show.

Bruce Arians believes Tom Brady has retired for good
The former Bucs QB had retired one more time before the previous season started. However, he cut his retirement short and joined the Bucs again for one more season.
It is reported that this may have caused a rift in his marriage with Gisele. Bucs senior advisor Bruce Arians believes that Tom Brady has finally retired for good and doesn’t expect him to make a comeback in this sport.
Brady will instead venture into broadcasting after signing a massive $375 million contract with Fox. “He’ll be more than ready, he’ll do a great job,” Arians said of Brady’s next endeavor into broadcasting.
However, he won’t start his broadcasting job till the fall of 2024. Till then, the former Patriots QB has decided to devote his time to his family and cultivate great relationships with his children.
