Tom Brady and Bill Belichick had a legendary partnership in New England that can’t be replicated for many years to come. The QB-HC duo won six Super Bowls together and established a fulfilling legacy with the Patriots.
Amidst reports of a turmoil between them, Brady recently spoke about the Patriots HC in the recent Let’s Go podcast. The former Patriots QB was asked what did Belichick do to bring out the best in him.
Brady got emotional after hearing the question and replied by saying “It’s more what did he not do.” The 45-year old QB believes Belichick did a lot from him and helped him adapt to the city of Boston.
Brady wasn’t aware about the workings of the Boston providence as he had grown up in the west coast. The legendary QB also stated that Belichick saw something in him that other people didn’t see.
TB12 was the 199th NFL draft pick and was picked up by the Patriots due to Belichick himself. It was his first year as an HC and he took a risk with a young QB who was deemed irrelevant.
Tom Brady got emotional and started to hold back tears while speaking about the contribution of Bill Belichick in his life. Belichick took an ultimate risk by starting the 199th draft pick over the influential Drew Bledsoe. However, it turned out in their favour and the rest is history.

The Patriots were regarded as an average team before the arrival of Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. However, the QB-WR duo had aspirations to be the best and they delivered.
The duo combined to win the 1st Super Bowl in the Patriots history and didn’t stop there. In total, they won 6 Super Bowls together and created a record-breaking legacy.
Sadly, all good things come to an end when Brady moved on to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. There were many rumors that he had a fallout with Belichick. However, they haven’t been confirmed since then.
Tom Brady then won another Super Bow with the Bucs and retired a season later. On the other hand, Brady’s departure has adversely affected the Patriots who haven’t been able to perform in the playoffs since his departure.
