The 23rd season did not end well for Tom Brady, who came back after a 40-day retirement. The Bucs ended the season with an 8-9 losing record but still managed to clinch the NFC South and advance to the playoffs.

The entire league expected Tom Brady to maintain his 7-0 unbeaten record against the Dallas Cowboys in the wild-card game, but surprisingly, that did not happen. Dak Prescott and the Cowboys led an upset against Tampa Bay and gave Brady a humbling defeat.

Now, speculations about the 45-year-old retiring are floating in the air once again. Former NFL stars who played with the legendary quarterback feel that Brady won’t retire, but he also won’t stay in Tampa. Brady is yet to address his possible retirement or move to another team.

Brady had an unimpressive game against the Dallas Cowboys, who he has defeated seven times in his career. The Cowboys’ defense completely shut out Brady and co and they didn’t score a single point in the entire first half. Brady did lead an endzone drive but was picked off, which was his first endzone interception since 2019.

While the loss was painful as it is, Brady will now have to pay a $16,444 fine for unnecessary roughness. This incident occurred during the third quarter when the Bucs’ signal-caller threw a short pass to receiver Chris Godwin who fumbled the ball which was recovered by Cowboys safety Malik Hooker. Brady then tried to tackle Hooker by sliding in awkwardly with his shoes facing Hooker.

He was given a red card on the spot by officials and is now being fined as reported by NFL Insider Ian Rapoport. Tampa Bay center Ryan Jensen is also ordered to pay an $8,333 fine for unnecessary roughness on the same play.

It’s highly unlikely that Tom Brady returns to the Buccaneers for his 24th season if he continues to play. Miami Dolphins might be willing to pursue Brady even though GM Chris Grier has said that Tua Tagovailoa is their QB1. Las Vegas Raiders is also a contender because they are loaded with weapons on the offense and the 7x Super Bowl champion might be inclined to join them. Let’s see where he lands because fans are yet to see him leave the field for the last time!
