Nate Clements and Tom Brady

Tom Brady is one of the biggest sporting heroes the world has ever seen. Passing yards, completions, touchdown passes, or games started, the man has got numbers that seem too good to be true in almost all facets of the game. Not long ago, Tom Brady shocked the NFL world when he announced that he is retiring from the sport.

It felt like an era has ended. However, Brady shocked the world yet again when he decided to return to his favorite sport in a matter of weeks and is now all set to lead the Bucs in the coming season.

Without a doubt, Tom is one of the most successful quarterbacks in the history of the game. After all, not a lot of QBs have won as many as seven Super Bowl titles. While Tom has surely bamboozled his opponents on numerous occasions in his illustrious career, there were times when even the GOAT found himself in troubled waters.

Way back in December, 2001, the Patriots versus Bills contest was turning out to be quite a spectacle. In the third quarter, the Patriots were leading 6-3. Tom took a few steps back and then started running, however, Nate Clements was in no mood to allow Tom to reach the line of scrimmage.

He crashed into Brady sending his helmet flying back. Although Brady acted like everything was absolutely fine, it was evident that the hit was quite severe and scary. A little while ago when he was promoting “the Match,” Tom spoke about the same incident referring to it as the worst hit he ever took in his career.

I slid late and my helmet went around 10 yards back,” Tom had claimed. Well, since then, the man has won more Super Bowl titles than any franchise which is enough to tell you how he recovered and what he ended up giving to the great game.
