Tom Brady throws a tablet in fury against the New Orleans Saints
There are some iconic rivalries in sports that never seem to get old, Packers-Lions, the Steelers-Patriots, the Chicago Bulls-Detroit Pistons rivalry, and so on. However, for Tom Brady, each game is a rivalry game as he is an extremely competitive individual who is willing to win at any cost. For years, Brady has held grudges against his peers and certain teams but now, he may be taking it a bit too far.
Tom Brady has a new rival and no it is not the Raiders or the Dolphins, as a matter of fact, it is not even a human being. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers seem to have developed a bad relationship with technology. His latest opponent is a tablet and his record against the tablet is 0-2. The quarterback has made it a routine to destroy one of the tablets that players use to review footage and figure out coverages being played by their opponents. Of course, Tom does not do it every game as this happens only when he faces the New Orleans Saints.
“I had to take it out”: The reason for Tom Brady destroying a tablet is extremely relatable to all of us!

The matchup against the Saints was an intense battle, the game transitioned slowly and neither team was able to make significant plays early on. Tom Brady was agitated by this, the entire first half witnessed no touchdowns but just two field goals, one by each team. On a night when things were not going in his way, Tom was trying his level best to connect with his receivers but the Saints had them locked down which led to a lot of incomplete passes.
Tom Brady spoke about the game on the Let’s Go Podcast and stated that he was “Pissed” throughout the game. But was that the real reason for throwing the tablet? No, the reason we all anticipated was that he probably was annoyed about not converting on the last play but Brady mentioned the actual reason and it will leave you chuckling.
Here’s what the QB had to say, “I’ve had a pretty bad record against that tablet, unfortunately. I think I forgot the password and I couldn’t log in and those things can be frustrating. Unfortunately, the tablet just happens to get in the way, and obviously, that’s the reason things weren’t going great yesterday, so I had to take it out on the poor, meaningless tablet.” Fair play Tom.
We all have had issues where we have forgotten our passwords and absolutely DESPISE resetting them or breaking our heads in an attempt to recall them. While most of us tend to think about throwing the devices, the thought of having to spend a hefty chunk of resources toward purchasing another device or getting them repaired is enough to restrain us. But for Tom, nothing stopped him.
The quarterback ended up taking his frustrations out on the tablet and once again threw it down. “I’m trying to make sure I don’t throw my arm out when I throw it, but I was pretty pissed yesterday. Until I get it right, I’m going to keep doing it. Obviously, with repetition being the key to success, I gotta get the perfect tablet slam, which I have not got yet. Tune in next week to see if it happens,” the quarterback concluded.

Tom’s got jokes! But it is understandable why he did it, in the heat of the moment, that was the tipping point for him. The Saints-Buccaneers game had tensions flaring high between both teams as there was an altercation that took place as well. This season has not been the best for Tampa, they may have a winning record but the team has not looked anywhere as good as the championship team. Hopefully, in the coming weeks, we see only the football being thrown and not tablets!
