Along with millions across the globe, Tampa Bay Buccaneers starting quarterback Tom Brady too paid tribute to the legendary soccer player Pele. The Brazilian superstar died at age 82. He was suffering from colon cancer and was hospitalized for the past three months.

Fans and friends of the Iconic star have been pouring tributes from all around the world. NFL veteran QB Tom Brady took to social media to pay his tribute to Pele. He posted a picture of him next to the soccer icon with the caption, “Honored to have known you” on his Instagram story.

The 45-year-old quarterback also shared another story. In his second Instagram story, Brady shared a video of Pele wishing him good luck when Brady played in his 10th Super Bowl. “Tom, good luck on your 10th SB. 10 is my lucky number, Good luck my friend,” Pele wished Brady back in 2021. Tom Brady went on to win his 7th Super Bowl ring after this.

Brazilian soccer legend Pele died at age 82 after his long battle with colon cancer. He died at a hospital in Sao Paulo, Brazil, as his family confirmed. The iconic soccer player’s demise has saddened the world and many people have been pouring their tributes to him.

Pele is the only soccer player to win the FIFA World Cup for a record three times. He also holds the record for the most goals scored for the Brazil national team. Pele has scored 77 goals for Brazil in his 92 appearances.

His wake will be held at the Santos Football Club on Monday, and the next day his coffin will be carried through the streets of his hometown, Santos. Pele is widely considered the greatest soccer player of all time and his achievements and accolades will not be forgotten.
