With the New Year comes New Resolutions. And seems like Travis Kelce is full-on of that spirit as he listed down two things that he aims to give up next year. Kansas City Chiefs‘ star tight end ought to become his best self, in light of his new love with the iconic pop star Taylor Swift.

The year 2024 is just a day away and while discussing the hopes and dreams for the new year alongside his brother Jason Kelce and his wife, Kylie on the New Heights podcast, Travis mentioned two specific things that he does not want to consume again — Bacon and Mayonnaise. And he plans to execute that from the New Year.

I'm done, I'm not eating bacon anymore, because I've had way too many.

He then immediately set straight:

I'm definitely still eating bacon. I'll probably never have mayo again though. I'm over mayo. I'm done with it.

To which, the Philadelphia Eagles center and his elder brother Jason pointed out that Travis already hates mayo. The Chiefs tight end had a funny take on that.

So he's giving up something he already doesn't do. You gotta sacrifice something.

Joining the Kelce brothers in the mayo conversation, Jason’s wife Kylie, who appeared on Friday’s episode as part of the ‘Kelce Family Year End Holiday Spectacular,’ said:

This sounds like when you give up something for Lent that's something that you don't actually like, and therefore it's not a sacrifice.
Jason Kelce’s wife Kylie chimed in

She then wished her brother-in-law best wishes on his “endeavours to give up mayonnaise.”

Travis Kelce’s retirement may arrive sooner than later

Chiefs tight end, Kelce who was known to be the dominating force in the offense, hasn’t been in his best form, particularly in the last two games. In the game against the New England Patriots, Kelce logged only five catches for 28 yards and a week later, against the Las Vegas Raiders, he logged 44 yards.

This season, Kelce played only two games in which he logged 100 yards. And as the numbers speak for themselves, Kelce’s potential retirement may arrive sooner than later. As the tight end’s contract with the Chiefs will end two years later, by that time, he’ll be 36.

Although Kelce’s abilities on the field can’t be denied as he has been filling in the gaps of a good receiver as well, it seems he’s not the unstoppable force that he once was. He also talked about his potential retirement during his interview with the Wall Street Journal.
