Travis Kelce has become the most recognizable face in all of football. Be it his appearances on Saturday Night Live, his relationship with Taylor Swift, or multiple commercials he gets featured on, the tight end is all over the place! In a good way. Data released by research firm iSpot shows that this season, through the first 14 weeks of the NFL regular season, Travis Kelce has been featured in more advertising spots than any other celebrity.
The firm analyzed advertisements that primarily aired during NFL games in national television windows and concluded that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end made an appearance nearly 375 times. There are a lot of factors that make Kelce the top option for advertisers. He’s the reigning Super Bowl champ, he’s a really likable dude, and more importantly, his personality is outgoing so he does not bore the audience.
Kelce beat teammate Patrick Mahomes who has appeared 341 times on air, the duo established themselves as a different class as they beat actors such as Kevin Miles who is third with 247 appearances, 49ers RB Christian McCaffrey who has 194 appearances, and Aaron Ikeda and Keisuke Hoashi who have been tied at the fifth spot with 178 appearances respectively.
Travis Kelce is estimated to be making more off his endorsement deals than he is from his actual NFL contract
Kelce has tie-ups with some of the biggest brands such as State Farm Insurance, Campbell’s Soup, DirecTV, Experian, Lowe’s, and Pfizer. These brands ensure that they get an adequate amount of air time and as a result, the tight end is featured multiple times in the span of one night. iSpot has found that Travis Kelce made 35 airings in the premier Week of this season, in subsequent weeks, he has made at least 30 appearances.
But in Week 4, when the Chiefs played the New York Jets, it was a personal record for Travis Kelce as he was featured 52 times which is crazy to think about. Kelce is estimated to earn around $5 million through his endorsements but his deal with Pfizer alone is believed to mint him an estimated $20 million.
That would exceed his current salary of $15 million per year. Financially, this year has been very lucrative for Kelce, and with his relationship with Taylor Swift, this is not going to change anytime soon.
