Travis Kelce had the time of his life when the Chiefs were victorious against the Bengals in the AFC championship game. The hosts had lost the previous year to the Bengals and were being trolled since then.

However, this year Patrick Mahomes and co. were out for revenge. The game was exhilarating, and the Chiefs managed to sneak in a win with an advantage of just 3 points because of a masterclass produced by the injured Chiefs QB.

Kelce was also primal to the Chiefs’ win as his passion and determination drove many players to fight for the win. The Chiefs TE was exalted after the win and even started crying tears of joy. However, what came next was not heartwarming.

Kelce must have remembered each and every insult that came their way, especially from the mayor of Cincinnati Aftab Pureval. Pureval came up with a proclamation that completely trolled the Chiefs and called their home stadium, Burrowhead Stadium. He also called Joe Burrow, the father of Patrick Mahomes, as he has always won against him.

The Chiefs TE had the last laugh though as he stated in his post-game press conference. “Cincinnati was a better city when Jerry Springer was the mayor.”

He wasn’t done there and even fired further shots at the mayor of Cincinnati by asking him to mind his own business with his own unique twist. “I’ve got some wise words for that Cincinnati mayor: Know your role and shut your mouth, jabroni,” Kelce said after winning against the Bengals.

Travis Kelce‘s comments were a wake-up call for the mayor of Cincinnati as he ultimately remembered that he said a lot of things and should apologize immediately.

That’s what he did and took to his Twitter to apologize to the Chiefs and their fans. “Yeah. Deserved that,” Pureval stated on his Twitter. “Congrats to KC on a well-fought win, and good luck in Arizona. Proud of our fans and our @bengals for the energy all year.”

The Chiefs had the last laugh as they are currently headed for the Super Bowl final against the Eagles. On the other hand, the Bengals are going home and will have to try again next year.

With less than two weeks left for the initial matchup between the two NFL giants. Both teams will have to utilize this time with great efficiency as even the small things will matter in this big game.
