Travis Rudolph is a professional American football player who had a couple of brief stints in the NFL with the New York Giants and the Miami Dolphins. His football career was cut short as he was released by the CFL franchise Winnipeg Blue Bombers following his arrest in 2021 on murder charges. And now, 2 years later, the wide receiver has been found not guilty of the charges.
According to multiple reports, the jury in West Palm Beach rejected to convict the former Giants wide receiver Travis Rudolph on murder charges related to the 2021 shooting incident. The jury declared Rudolph not guilty on all 4 counts as the two-week-long trial ended within four hours of deliberation.
The murder and manslaughter charges were related to a 2021 shooting incident that happened at the wide receiver’s home in Lake Park, Florida. The shooting happened after Rudolph had a dispute with his alleged ex-girlfriend Dominique Jones.
The dispute ended with Rudolph shooting at a car with four men, who allegedly came to Rudolph’s home to confront him. Rudolph’s shots killed one Sebastien Jean-Jacques and injured another man in the car according to The New York Post.
Rudolph plead not guilty on all charges citing self -defense and on Wednesday he was found not guilty on all 4 counts by the jury. “I got my freedom back,” Rudolph said following the jury’s decision, according to WPTV, “and I can get back to my life.”
According to Rudolph’s agent, the 27-year-old talented wide receiver is trying to get back in the NFL after missing out on the last two years due to legal troubles.

After a successful career at Florida State, Rudolph signed with the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2017. He played in seven games for the Giants and registered 101 receiving yards. He then signed with the Dolphins practice squad but couldn’t make it to the 53-man roster.
