During the scuffle, Williams threw a vicious punch at the Giants defensive lineman after shoving him. The referees were all over the fight and multiple flags were thrown, but somehow Williams escaped an ejection, which is the standard penalty for a player throwing a punch. Instead, both Williams and Robinson were issued off-setting penalties. Fans on social media were confused about how Trent Williams was not ejected after punching a player in front of the referees.
