“It’s not my job to care about what you guys say”: Trey Lance shuts down the media and all his trolls

The San Fransisco 49ers have a new quarterback as their floor general. Though it is not official yet, it can be inferred that Trey Lance has been notified that in all likelihood he will be starting. Jimmy Garoppolo has an injured shoulder and is currently rehabbing. He is not attending the OTAs of the team and he may be traded later on this season. The 49ers are holding on to him as a form of backup or insurance policy.
Trey Lance is a fresh new face to the team, he has already begun practicing with the active roster, and his tight end George Kittle and other receivers have praised his attitude and believe that his ceiling is pretty high. In the OTAs that are ongoing, Lance spoke to the media and had a solid response to all his critics.
“I care about what the guys in the locker room say”: Trey Lance to the media

Trey Lance gave us a glimpse into his no-chill attitude and how he handles all his critics. “It doesn’t change how I feel about you guys as people but necessarily it’s not my job to care about what you guys say or anyone else on social media say.” Lance did not hold back in his response to all his critics, he clearly mentioned that he wants to shut all the noise out and just focus on his game and his team.
Lance only cares about what his teammates think and what his coaching staff has to tell him. “For me, it’s, I only care about what the guys in the locker room think and what the coaching staff thinks, at the end of the day that’s my job. You guys, unfortunately, aren’t the ones making any decisions for me or really have any effect on me in the most respectful way possible. I know everyone’s got strong opinions now way or the other, I’m gonna go out and try to prove you wrong, prove myself right but I’m gonna do it for the guys in the locker room.”
Tell them, Trey! Clearly, he is determined and looking forward to proving all his critics wrong. His strong personality gives us a hint that he is a fighter and will stick to his word. We look forward to watching Trey Lance ball out this season!
