“Most sacked in NFL history,” Twitter Reacts to Bucs QB Tom Brady breaking embarrassing Ben Roethlisberger record
Bucs QB Tom Brady breaks embarrassing Ben Roethlisberger record
Tom Brady is arguably the greatest player the NFL has ever seen in its incredibly long history. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback is playing in his 23rd season, which is simply a testament to his performances over the year.
During his long-lasting career, Tom Brady has notched up many precious awards and records to his name, the biggest being the winner of the most Super Bowl titles. However, like almost everything, the quarterback also has some records that he would definitely want to forget.
Tom Brady now has the most number of sacks in the history of the NFL
He got himself one such record during the Buccaneers’ latest defeat against the Baltimore Ravens, as he went past former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger in having the most number of sacks to his name. Brady now has 555 sacks to his name while the Steelers quarterback had 554.
However, more than the embarrassing record, Brady was upset over the form he and his franchise have been in ever since the start of the season. The Buccaneers have currently slipped to a 3-5 record and Brady has copped huge criticism for his performances.
“I don’t think you can erase what happened the last eight weeks,” he said as reported by ESPN. “We’ve gotta dig deep, see what we’re all about, come to work, try to improve and give ourselves a better chance to win.”
Twitter Reactions to Tom Brady’s unwanted record
With all the flutter around Tom Brady’s personal life problems with Gisele Bündchen, this unwanted record will simply add up to the pressure on the veteran. And with each passing week, it feels that Brady might have been better off if he stayed retired, which would have probably simplified his relationship with his Brazilian wife as well.
