Patrick Mahomes is prepared to dominate in another sport after being the best QB in the NFL. The 27-year-old QB led his team to the Super Bowl win in February and is currently enjoying the pleasure of the offseason.
However, the Kansas City Chiefs QB will be back on the field yet again. Although, this time he will be playing another sport against a true legend. It was recently announced that Mahomes and Travis Kelce will go up against Steph Curry and Klay Thompson in an exhilarating golf match.
Steph Curry and Klay Thompson both are teammates in the Golden State Warriors of the NBA. It sounds like a fair matchup as both Mahomes and Curry are currently the best in their respective leagues.
The contenders will be facing each other for the next iteration of Capital One’s The Match. The much-awaited matchup will take place on June 29 in Las Vegas, Nevada. It will be a 12-hole game of golf which will be streamed live on TNT.
This is not the first time Mahomes will be playing golf competitively. Last year he partnered with Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen against the deadly partnership of Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers. The result was expected by everyone as the two legends won the game in the end.
However, this time Patrick Mahomes is out for retribution and will look to win against Curry and Thompson. The Chiefs duo are also favourites to win the matchup due to their insane chemistry.
Social media isn’t excited with the Patrick Mahomes – Travis Kelce matchup
Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are great friends off the field and share great chemistry on the field as well. Although there is excitement for their upcoming golf game, it has faltered tremendously since last year.
NFL Twitter wasn’t excited by the matchup and quickly roasted the duo, especially Kelce who in unbearable according to some people. There were also many who weren’t sold on the idea of different sports players competing in a game of golf. They counted out the match as boring and believe there are other better things out there.

It seems that Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are seen everywhere since winning the iconic Lombardi Trophy. Although, they are great football players, many weren’t excited to see them on the Match.
