Joe Burrow has finally faced a defeat against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs took care of business and eliminated the Bengals from the NFL postseason after handing them a 23-20 loss in the AFC Conference Championship game on Sunday. Following the game, Mark Alford, a Republican Congressman from Missouri, was out for revenge for Cincinnati Mayor’s pre-game banter fiasco.
Prior to the Championship game, the rivalry between the Chiefs and the Bengals was reaching new heights, with players going back and forth with trash talks. From the Bengals DB Mike Hilton calling the Chiefs’ home stadium “Burrowhead” to Chiefs LB Willie Gay‘s statement about how not a single thing in the Bengals offense impresses him, the rivalry just grew and grew over the course of the Conference Championship weekend.
Furthermore, even the Mayors of Cincinnati and Kansas City got involved in a Twitter beef after Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval crossed a line with the paternity test comments. Nevertheless, the Chiefs managed to secure a win in a close game against the Joe Burrow-led Bengals and became the AFC Champions. Following the victory, the Chiefs players and fans who were enduring so much disrespect from many sides started to call out the haters and the doubters.
The Chiefs’ star tight end Travis Kelce called out Pureval for his insensitive comments towards Patrick Mahomes and also called out Mike Hilton for his “Burrowhead” banter before the game.

Social media cooks Mark Alford for trolling the Bengals over their loss against the Chiefs

Furthermore, Mark Alford, a Republican Congressman, also joined the Chiefs fan base to slander the Bengals, but his trolling attempt failed miserably due to his cringe-worthy and an out-of-touch statement about the game.
“Like many Missourians, I could not be prouder of the effort put forth on the field yesterday, last night. Despite having an injured Patrick Mahomes, injuries to several key players, incredible amounts of outside noise, and the referees against them the entire game, the Chiefs made short work of the Bungles – I mean, Bengals I hope Eli Apple has fun in Cancun. I also hope that Mayor Jabroni and the rest of the Cincinnati fan base learned a valuable lesson,” Mark Alford stated in his speech.
First of all, injuries to key players? The Bengals played without their two starting O-linemen. Secondly, the referees were indeed bad, but many people accused them of favoring the Chiefs.
And lastly, short work? The Chiefs won by 3 points and the game-winning field goal came during the final seconds of the game. Yeah, there is a high possibility that this congressman might’ve missed the game.
