Dak Prescott‘s rough stretch of days continues after social media found out that he and his girlfriend Natalie Buffett broke up before the start of the 2022 NFL Season. According to multiple reports, the couple broke up in March and decided to keep the split “close to the vest.” The news broke at the worst time for Prescott, who was already going through a lot after suffering a disappointing loss against the San Francisco 49ers in their divisional-round matchup.
On Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys head west to Santa Clara to take on the NFC West Champions 49ers in the second round of the NFL postseason. The road underdogs did well enough to hang with the Niners, but Prescott’s two interceptions proved to be costly since the Cowboys went on to lose the game 19-12 in a disappointing end to the self-proclaimed “America’s team”
Prescott’s performance was so bad, he was even subtly blamed by his own teammate OLB Micah Persons. Furthermore, the Cowboys’ social media account took an indirect shot at the 7th-year quarterback by pointing out his two-interceptions outing as the main reason for their loss. “Dak Prescott gave away the ball twice in the narrow loss to the 49ers, in a matchup the Cowboys had a chance to win if they didn’t again generate self-inflicted wounds,” tweeted the official Cowboys social media account.

Dak Prescott’s rough week just got rougher after social media found out about his breakup with his girlfriend Natalie Buffett. The pair first met way back in 2019 and began dating sometime in 2020.
According to pagesix.com, multiple sources close to the couple have confirmed that Prescott and Buffet broke up sometime in March 2022 after dating for at least two years but decided to keep the news private. The sources also revealed that Prescott has been casually dating since the breakup.
Social media mocked took this chance to mock the Cowboys’ franchise quarterback who was already getting torched for his disappointing outing in a playoff game against the Niners on Sunday.
On the business side of things, the Cowboys and Prescott have a lot of things to work out during the off-season, which came earlier for them than they would’ve wanted. Since Prescott’s expensive contract makes it virtually impossible for Jerry Jones to trade him away, he would look to put more pieces around him during this off-season in hopes of hoisting the Lombardi Trophy next season.
