The NFL took notice of the situation and suspended Watson for 11 games under violation of code and conduct policy. The Browns QB was also asked to pay $5 million fine in damages caused.

Watson settled with 23 of the total 24 women and the Grand Jury didn’t indict him on any criminal charges. Though the QB was asked to undergo counseling sessions as he was not asked to enter the training field nor the game field.

However, Watson has now almost completed his suspension and is allowed for training with the Browns as he completed his first training session after getting suspended.

“This is the next step for him, and it’s good to have him back out on the field,” Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski told the Associated Press. “What’s important is that we do everything we can to find a way to get a win versus Buffalo. That is where the players’ focus is.”

Deshaun Watson’s suspension helped backup QB Jacoby Brissett get some game-time as now it is highly expected that Watson will start every single game when he makes his debut against his former team, Houston Texans.
