Tyreek Hill confidently DECLARES he could turn Baker Mayfield into Tom Brady if he played with him

Dolphins’ Tyreek Hill is one of the best wide receivers out there in the NFL currently and rightly so. He is very confident about his art. It is a given that a quarterback is nothing without the support of good wide receivers and in this context, Hill has made a very bold comment. He recently claimed that if star QB Baker Mayfield played with him, the Cheetah would turn him into Tom Brady.

Doubts loomed over Mayfield’s future after the Panthers decided to sideline him. It was the Los Angeles Rams that put their faith in him and, to everybody’s shock, Mayfield led the team to a perfect comeback win on his debut against the Raiders, just 2 days after signing for the team.

Speaking with Shannon Sharpe on Club Shay Shay, Hill was asked whether Mayfield could turn into Brady, to which he confidently answered yes, with the condition that the Rams’ QB played with him. Hill believed he could bring the best out of Mayfield. “If he playin’ on me, yeah. Come on now, if he playin’ on me yeah,” Hill said.

He mentioned Mayfield’s debut for the Rams and reminded everyone of his insane 98-yard game-winning drive. He rallied with Mayfield and said that he is with him. “You see what he did last night. Game-winning drive, 98 yards. He went crazy. Now how you won it, Baker Mayfield, what a dub. Hey Baker Mayfield, I’m on your side bro. Come on,” Hill said.

Why did Baker Mayfield leave the Panthers?

Mayfield moved from the Cleveland Browns to the Carolina Panthers after the Browns decided to go with Deshaun Watson after the 2021 season. Much was expected from Mayfield at Carolina, but he massively underperformed and hence the team was forced to look ahead.

The team conveyed this to Mayfield and when he got to know that he won’t be a starting QB for them; he decided to move on. The Rams then claimed him off the waivers and inherited $1.35 million on Mayfield’s contract.

The Rams are 4-9 for the season and are almost out of playoff contention. They will have to win their remaining four matches if they want to stay in the race alive. Currently 4th in the NFC West division, they will take on the Packers this week and will then meet the likes of the Broncos, the Chargers, and the Seahawks.
