“24 hours to respond,” Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill respectfully lashes out at Shannon Sharpe and Steve Smith Jr. after heavy criticism on catching ability
Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill is currently having a great time at his new team after moving from the Kansas City Chiefs. The WR is leading in pass-receiving yards.
Recently, NFL analysts Shannon Sharpe and Steve Smith Jr. were talking about Tyreek Hill and his impressive ability. During the conversation, Sharpe and Smith agreed on Tyreek Hill not being a natural catcher of the ball.
“Tyreek Hill is fantastic, he’s Cheetah. He runs faster than anyone I’ve known at wide receiver.” Shannon Sharpe stated in the Instagram video. “This is not a knock, but he’s not a natural catcher of the ball.”
Although this statement wasn’t meant as a criticism of Hill, the Dolphins WR reacted in his typical manner and posted a video on his Instagram. The video included the clip of Sharpe and Smith chatting about the WR and then later there is the clip of scintillating catches by Tyreek Hill that disregards their statements.
Hill captioned the video with “24 hours to respond… Respect to both you greats [Shannon Sharpe and Steve Smith Jr.].” The 28-year-old is statistically the best WR in the league and wanted to prove it to Sharpe and Smith Jr.
Tyreek Hill is currently the best WR in the league by a mile
Tyreek Hill pulled off a great transition from the Chiefs to the Dolphins. Although there were many doubts that the 24-year-old would not be his best without the support of Patrick Mahomes, he proved everyone wrong by performing brilliantly in the first few games of the season.
Tyreek Hill currently leads the league in receiving yards with 701. This was also possible due to Tua Tagovailoa’s brilliant start to the season. Hill can end the season as the best WR as he currently averages 116 yards per game.
Though the Dolphins’ WR was dropped in some of the games, when given the chance, his extreme speed and great technical ability have proved as a great weapon for the Dolphins and HC Mike McDaniel.
The Miami Dolphins (3-3) will next face the Pittsburgh Steelers (2-4) for the NFL week 7 matchup. Their star QB Tua Tagovailoa has also returned from his injury and will start with Tyreek Hill in the game.
