Tyreek Hill is a bizarre character. Not in the negative sense, the wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins is just different. The NFL has not seen a lot of players who are elite at their position and as outspoken, fun-loving, and brutally honest as Tyreek is. Despite having the best season amongst all the wideouts in the NFL, Hill is already out here contemplating retirement.

Tyreek had once stated on a Twitch stream with Mike Evans that he genuinely intends to become an adult star once he retires from the NFL. Here’s the link for better context on Hill’s comments. Recently, the wideout went on the I Am Athlete podcast with Brandon Marshall and made it clear that if the Miami Dolphins do not bring him back, there is a very good chance of him stepping away from the game.

Tyreek Hill made it clear:

If I'm not being brought back to Miami with this team here, man I'm ready and maybe over with, who knows?

So he pretty much made it clear that he does not just want to return to the Miami Dolphins but he wants to return to a Dolphins team with Tua as his QB and more importantly, Mike McDaniel as his Head Coach.

Tyreek Hill believes the culture in Miami is perfect for him

Hill went on to say:

It's all about changing the game...you got certain coaches that want you to do certain things and I feel like if I'm not being brought back to Miami, I'm not going to go all the way to the East Coast or the West Coast.

Tyreek’s perspective is simple, he likes the culture in Miami, he has a great connection with his quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, and most importantly, his Head Coach, Mike McDaniel is the perfect guy to play for.

Hill is not an athlete who likes to get “run to death” in practice. Take the Patriots for instance, Hill would be totally out of place on a team with a culture like that because no matter how great an athlete is, Bill Belichick is going to make sure you and an undrafted rookie wideout are going to be treated on par. This is why the wideout does not want to be a part of a culture shift which is inevitable when players get traded to a new team.

This also does not mean that Tyreek is taking a page out of Allen Iverson’s book when it comes to practice. The wideout elaborated:

I already know how to practice, I already know how to set the standard.

He knows when it is time to practice and how to get things done in a manner that fits perfectly for him. It clearly is working because have you seen the man’s stat line this season? 8 touchdowns, 1,014, yards on 61 receptions. Sheesh, Tyreek is nothing less than a generational talent.
