Davante Adams joined the Las Vegas Raiders in 2022 after spending his first eight seasons with the Green Bay Packers. During his time in Green Bay, he established himself as one of the best receivers in the NFL. The All-Pro receiver formed a tremendous connection with the legendary QB Aaron Rodgers as they formed one of the best QB-WR duos in the league.

However, Adams had different ideas come 2022. He signed a five-year deal with the Las Vegas Raiders at the beginning of the 2022 season. There were a lot of rumors about Adams’ departure from the Packers. He eventually cleared them in an interview stating that he wanted to spend time with his family and that he also wanted to play alongside his college quarterback Derek Carr.

Adams said in an interview with reporters in 2022:

Thereโ€™s much more that goes into it. And family is a big part of it for me. I had the choice and the choice was for me to come here and raise my family on the West Coast and come out here and have some fun in the sun.

He also cited Rodgers’ looming retirement as one of the reasons why he wanted to play somewhere else. He said:

Aaron and I talked multiple times. We talked throughout the whole process, too, and he was aware of where I stood, and I was aware of where he stood. He mentioned we had talks about his future and what he thinks his duration in Green Bay or just football in general would look like, and that played into my decision as well.

Rodgers left Green Bay at the beginning of this season. Adams had a great first season with the Raiders, but this season hasn’t been good for the All-Pro receiver. Carr left to join the New Orleans Saints in the offseason. Adams has voiced out his frustrations over limited targets this season.

According to reports, Davante Adams has not requested a trade

Davante Adams was visibly frustrated during the Las Vegas Raiders’ loss on Monday to the Detroit Lions. The All-Pro receiver had one only one reception for 11 yards during the game. After the game, Adams was lost for word for his performance against the Lions.

Vinny Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal and Tashan Reed of The Athletic reported that Adams has not requested a trade. The receiver noted this week that he is “100 per cent” happy to be a Raider.

The Raiders certainly don’t want to trade Adams. He is still one of the most dynamic wide receivers in the game and will hope to turn his season around in the second half of the season. The Raiders will play their next game against the New York Giants on October 5.
