The Minnesota Vikings had a poor start to their 2023-24 campaign as the team lost all three matches that they have played so far. They are one of the four winless teams in this NFL. It is very difficult to have a comeback from this stage, hence many analysts and fans are ruling out the team’s opportunity to become the Super Bowl contender this season.
However, Justin Jefferson, the WR for the Vikings, is not interested in wiping out the chances of making it to the playoffs or winning the Super Bowl. He is also feeling frustrated as everyone is snubbing them so early this season. The wide receiver believes that it is too early for them to eliminate all the possibilities for the Vikings. Since the NFL is a marathon league, they will have their share of opportunities to perform in the league.
“I’m tired of people saying that we’re looking into next season or all of the trades and stuff like that. We’re focused still on this season. We have a lot more games to go and we have a lot more things to accomplish this season. We’re still focused in, and we still have the same goal as we had before the season,” Jefferson said.
“We just need to fix a few things and I feel like we’ll be back on track,” the WR said on Thursday to reporters in the locker room. (h/t: ESPN)
In the bad days of his team, Jefferson has stood out as an exception for them. His individual performance has not been impacted. He covered 458 yards in the first three games, the highest among the WRs this season. He also had 27 receives.

The Vikings were disappointing in the first three games
The Minnesota Vikings have offered nothing but disappointment in the first three games. They lost their season opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by 17-20. In the second game, the team faced the Philadelphia Eagles and was stunned by the performance of Jalen Hurts. They lost the game by a margin of 28-34. In the third game, the team lost by 24-28 against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Three defeats have made the journey difficult for the Vikings. Even with Kirk Cousins‘ numbers have been more than decent they have not helped in creating win. However, Jefferson is not someone who will easily give up.
Speaking to the press, the WR said, “There’s things that you’ve got to go through throughout the season to really tell if you’re going to be a great team or not. We’re handling adversity early in the season with the turnovers and being 0-3, but there is a whole bunch of more games to go.”
