Last month, the former NFL quarterback Vince Young was seen engaging in a bar fight on camera. It eventually resulted in him being knocked unconscious.
As reported by TMZ Sports, Young was involved in a wild bar fight at Tokyo Joe’s Shot Bar in Houston, Texas. It started with what appeared as some sort of disagreement between the two-time Pro Bowler and a group of men, which eventually became a physical altercation as caught on the video obtained by the outlet.
It happened ahead of the Super Bowl but came to the public’s knowledge recently, with its video going viral on the internet. In the video, it appears Young sporting a black t-shirt and white hat arguing with some men at the bar. Although it couldn’t be clear what the argument was about, it seems the former Green Bay Packers QB instigated the physical fight when he began pushing those men right when things got heated up.
TMZ Sports reported on Tuesday:
The footage shows one man appearing to slam his drink in another man's face. Seconds later, the same man can be seen throwing an elbow that connects flush.TMZ’s report read
After a moment, when the brawl appeared to have calmed down, the former Heisman Trophy runner-up was hit with a forceful punch, knocking him down on the ground. After punching Young, the man appeared to have walked away while talking off his shirt.
What instigated the Houston bar brawl?
After the public fight at the bar, its owner called the Houston Police Department as he was also hit by a drink and the elbow. TMZ Sports obtained the inside information from the officers, who said that the bar owner’s brawl began with a conversation about race.
The “conversation about race—and turned physical once he asked the patrons to leave,” said the owner. However, despite the involvement of the police, no arrest was made or the bar owner filed any charges.
After being knocked down, Young stayed on the ground for some time, before eventually getting up and leaving. The outlet also reached out to the former NFL quarterback for the whole story but hasn’t received any response.
