After a poor 42-19 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, the Philadelphia Eagles‘ five-game winning streak ended, and they encountered their second loss this season. As the 49ers have improved to 9-3, leading the NFC West division, they couldn’t be more joyful, especially when that victory came from defeating their rival Eagles.

With this victory by the 49ers, the long-time feud between wide receiver Deebo Samuel and the Eagles’ cornerback James Bradberry has gotten to a whole new level. Minutes after the avenging NFC championship loss to the Eagles, Samuel was seen rapping the lyrics of “That Get Back a Motherf**ka” alongside Brandon Aiyuk in a mocking tone directed at Bradberry and the Eagles.

Entering the game, the 49ers had a slow start as the offense performed inadequately. But they recovered very soon in the second quarter as their running game began and the offense finally took off. And in no time, the 49ers dominated the field.

With the brilliant offense by Brock Purdy, Christian McCarthy, and Aiyuk in the lead along with the solid defense, the Eagles were outplayed. By halftime, the 49ers were in the lead with 14-6 from 0-6 which they were in the second quarter.

Though the Eagles did attempt to shoot a comeback with a touchdown, the 49ers didn’t allow it as they responded with their strong offense. After five plays, they scored a touchdown all thanks to WR Samuel for his 48-yard pass.

The rivalry between the Eagles and the 49ers dates back to last season, when the former advanced to the Super Bowl after defeating the latter in the 2023 NFC championship game at 31-7.

Interestingly, Samuel and Bradberry’s feud rose this week after the 49ers wideout called the Eagles’ cornerback “trash.” With all the drama going around, fans are surely having quite a fun time. Understanding how personal the win was to the 49ers, Eagles fans didn’t seem happy with Samuel’s mocking of Bradberry.
