With the Philadelphia Eagles set to take on the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl LVII, it’s going to be an action-packed finale to an enthralling football season. And this time around it will also be going down as the first time in history that two brothers will be up against each.
Dubbed the ‘Kelce Bowl’, Jason Kelce of the Philadelphia Eagles and Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs are set to make history. Both of them have won one Super Bowl each and now they have the chance to go up against each other.
With history set to take place on the 12th of February, it’s also a landmark moment for their mother Donna Kelce who was present with them on the Super Bowl LVII Opening Night stage delivering cookies for her sons after an online petition garnered 170,000 votes to get her involved.
Donna Kelce gets in on the action by flipping the coin at Super Bowl LVII Opening Night
Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce had an extra special moment at the Super Bowl LVII Opening Night as their mother, Donna Kelce, came up on stage to do the coin toss. “It’s honestly a dream come true and we can do nothing but thank the fans for embracing us like this,” Travis said to host Michael Irvin.
“If mom is doing the coin toss, we’re going to have to coach her up a little bit. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her flip a coin. But it would be a pretty incredible moment,” Jason said.
Fans from both sides started an online petition to let Donna Kelce be a part of the celebrations and let her do the coin flip. When asked how she is preparing for the big day, her response was pretty straightforward!
“The plan is to scream really loud every time somebody has the ball,” Donna said. “It feels amazing that they’ve been able to both get to this point in their careers, and both enjoy this Super Bowl together. It’s just amazing.”
The Super Bowl LVII is set to start at 6:30 pm ET on the 12th of February 2023 in Arizona.
