C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans are having a fantastic season. The rookie quarterback has led the Texans to a 6-4 record and is the frontrunner to win the Offensive Rookie of the Year award. One disadvantage of being a rookie though, is the possibility of getting pranked never goes away. Stroud was a victim of one such prank prior to the Texans’ week 12 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Texans are hosting the Jaguars at the NRG Stadium. Prior to the game, Stroud arrived at the stadium and wanted to get in the locker room. However, the rookie QB was denied access to the room. He tried multiple times but wasn’t able to get in. A staff member helped him and Stroud was finally able to get in.

A video of Stroud being stuck outside was posted on Twitter. It was captioned, “CJ Stroud was locked out of the locker room. It’s the Jamal Adams meme all over again” accompanied by a laughing emoji. The same thing happened with Seattle Seahawks‘ safety Jamal Adams back when he was with the New York Jets. Adams was hilariously denied access to the Jets’ training facility. The video went viral and was turned into a meme.

Stroud has been a dominant force this season. The rookie has accumulated 2,962 yards and 17 touchdowns with only 5 interceptions. He has a rating of 99.3 and has been one of the best quarterbacks this season. The Texans are also in playoff contention this season, thanks to their QB.

However, it was funny to see the team’s young star getting locked out of his own locker room. It reminded the fans of a similar incident that happened with Seattle Seahawks’ safety Jamal Adams. He was a rookie at that time with the New York Jets. Here are some of the reactions.

Stroud had a poor game against the Arizona Cardinals last Sunday. He threw 3 interceptions against the Cardinals enroute to 21-16 win. He also threw for 336 yards and 2 touchdowns during the game which helped the Texans secure the win.
