On Sunday, second-year quarterback Will Levis and the Tennessee Titans went against their AFC South division rivals Indianapolis Colts in their week 13 matchup. During the game, Levis got into a heated scuffle with his teammate and star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins after miscommunication led to an incomplete pass.

During the first quarter of the game, the game was tied at 7-7 and the Titans were looking to put some points on the board. During the crucial 3rd down and 8, a miscommunication between Levis and Hopkins led to an incomplete pass. As a result, the Titans were forced to punt the ball away and Levis was furious about it.

The cameras caught Levis yelling at Hopkins, who was jogging off the field following the overthrown pass. Levis continued to yell at DeAndre Hopkins on the sidelines as the CBS cameras caught the quarterback, giving the wide receiver an earful. Check out the footage of the incident attached below.

The rookie quarterback didn’t hesitate to get in the face of the veteran wide receiver. Levis has been a great addition to the Titans in the 2023 season. He sat behind veteran Ryan Tannehill during the early stages of the ongoing NFL season and took over the starting QB role once Tannehill went down with an injury.

Levis had another decent outing as he registered 224 passing yards and 1 passing touchdown. The veteran wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins also had a solid game as he caught 5 passes for 75 receiving yards and 1 touchdown while averaging 15 yards per reception. However, they could not help the Titans secure a victory against their division rivals Colts on Sunday.

Following the Titans’ loss on Sunday, rookie quarterback Will Levis talked about the heated exchange with his teammate DeAndre Hopkins. Levis said it was just a miscommunication between the teammates.

It was just a little miscommunication, I thought he was doing one thing and he ended up doing the other. We hold each other to a high standard. I allow him to express his feelings towards me and vice versa. I’m just getting more comfortable with my relationship with him and everyone else on the team.

Nonetheless, the Titans fell to an ugly 4-8 record following their loss against the Colts. Next, they are scheduled to face one of the best offensive units in the league, the Miami Dolphins, in their week 14 matchup. They would look to make a statement next Monday by slaying the AFC giants.
