Patrick Mahomes is known for his humble and down-to-earth characteristics. On the other hand, the Chiefs QB is deadly and lethal on the field. This balance makes him the best in the league with love from countless fans around the country.

The Chiefs were victorious against the Bengals in the much-awaited AFC championship where Mahomes outshined Joe Burrow on the field. With a close 23-20 win, all eyes were on Mahomes after the game, who is looking to win his second Super Bowl title this year.

However, his humble nature didn’t allow him to take all the credit for himself, and the 27-year-old dedicated his success to a special woman who helped him overcome adversity and perform exceptionally well.

Mahomes picked up an ankle injury in the NFL divisional round and it was rumored that the prolific QB will miss the most important game of the season against the Bengals. However, against all odds, the Chiefs QB took the field while limping with one leg and showed everyone who’s the best.

The 27-year-old QB believes all of this was possible because of Julie Frymyer. She is the Chiefs’ assistant trainer who played an important part in Mahomes recovery.

“Julie WAS the reason I was the guy I was on the field today! It takes everyone, but she led the charge all week!!!! Now let’s get ready for the Super Bowl!!!” Mahomes ecstatically stated on Twitter.

The background staff behind the players are always involved in the nitty-gritty stuff for the final performance to take place. Yet, they are always ignored and don’t get the recognition they deserve. Not anymore, as Patrick Mahomes made it a priority to write a tribute to the unsung heroes who gave their 100% just so he could take the field.

Mahomes wasn’t the only one that Julie Frymyer treated. She’s been with the team since 2018 and has been in charge of rehabbing the players after an injury and making them game ready.

Julie’s work is not done yet as she will continue to work on Mahomes’ injury. There are almost two weeks left since the eventual Super Bowl and Julie will have a packed schedule until then if Patrick Mahomes will take the field while being fully fit.

Mahomes will need to be at his full fitness as the Chiefs will be going up against the best team in the NFC, the Eagles. They also have a stacked squad with Jalen Hurts in the center of it all.
