“He would fit perfectly” Samori Toure is being shown ‘heavy interest’ by the Green Bay Packers

Samori Toure
Samori Toure may not be one of the top-tier wide receivers in the 2022 NFL Draft but he still has numerous teams interested in him. The Green Bay Packers unsurprisingly are among the teams looking into Toure.
The Packers were always going to have issues in some form in 2022. When they guaranteed Aaron Rodgers $150 million, it meant figuring out a long-term deal with Davante Adams would be extremely difficult given that he wanted to be the highest-paid receiver in the NFL. Of course, they couldn’t reach an agreement and Green Bay traded Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders.

Along with Adams being traded, Marquez Valdes-Scantling opted to sign with the Kansas City Chiefs. That leaves the Packers with Allen Lazard and a 31-year-old Randall Cobb as their best pass catchers as of now. There have been rumors of some trade targets like DK Metcalf but as of now, it’s only speculation.
Whether or not they find a solid #1 receiver or someone to just bolster their receivers’ room, the Packers must address this problem in the draft and Samori Toure could very well be selected.
Samori Toure could be a great fit in the Packers’ offense

The Director of College Scouting for the Shrine Bowl, Shane Coughlin spoke about Samori Toure to ‘Packers Wire’ saying “His football instincts shine through his production, route landmarks, blocking technique, and ability after the catch. He’s a long, athletic, and tough perimeter receiver with slot experience and room to add weight and power. The route pacing and controlled movements would fit a west coast offense perfectly.”
It was ‘Pro Football Network’s’ Aaron Wilson that reported the Packers’ interest in Samori Toure stating that his combination of speed, athleticism, and size makes him heavily touted. Toure led Nebraska in receiving with 46 catches for 898 yards and 5 touchdowns. He was the leader in the Big Ten in yards per reception, truly living up to his deep threat title.
It’s hard to see Samori Toure being drafted in the first round given the number of talented receivers there are in this draft but it’s possible he could get selected in the second or third round or possibly be signed right after the draft as a free agent.
