Stephen A Smith Silenced Tyrann Mathieu Over Praising Mac Jones

Stephen A Smith has been highly critical of Bill Belichick and the defence of a resurgent New England Patriots. He is also disapproving of the fact that Belichick let Tom Brady go and he believes that this is a mistake and a premium price will have to be shelled out for the same. Being candid, you do not let go of your best players but a coach is supposed to be the mastermind of a revolution and what was Bill thinking probably cannot be said but he chose to opt for Mac Jones, given the ripe age of Tom Brady.

The Patriots have forged a five-game winning streak to turn around their fortunes from2-4 to 7-4, thanks to an exultant display from Mac Jones who has been in phenomenal shape. Ever since their close drubbing at the hands of the Cowboys, they have brought out their heavy artillery which has blown away the likes of New York Jets, Los Angeles Chargers, Carolina Panthers, Cleveland Browns and most importantly have bulldozed the Atlanta Falcons.

They have an important clash coming up against the mighty Tennessee Titans who will be without their star receiver, Derrick Henry who has been ruled out for the remainder of the season due to an injury. Praising Mac Jones, Tyrann Mathieu quoted, “Mac Jones wasn’t trendy enough for y’all at first huh? Now y’all love him. Man, Y’all funny!!! Day in and day out!!! Y’all should be on Comedy Central.”

Stephen A Smith broke his silence immediately after this tweet was read out as he asked Tyrann to stay shut. He was heard saying that when the defence seemed vulnerable for the opening weeks, there was a flurry of tirades that he posted. Now that the last four weeks have been soaring ones for the Patriots, a change of perspective unfolded and Smith was not buying it.

There were a few smiles for sure post that comment as everyone present on the show was being a sport and the dry sense of humour that Smith brings along with himself simply amplified the laughs at the other end. However, going by the showdown posted by Mac Jones, he has surged for 2540 yards, threw 245-of-349 and completed 14 touchdowns alongside the 8 interceptions.
