The Colts have been quite busy this offseason. At first, they acquired MVP quarterback Matt Ryan and defensive end Yannick Ngakoue. They’ve also signed cornerback Brandon Facyson, along with safeties Rodney McLeod and Armani Watts. The addition of Gilmore makes the Colts a formidable team.

Adam Schefter mentioned the signing of Stephon Gilmore by the Colts on Twitter. “Five-time Pro-Bowl CB Stephon Gilmore, the NFL’s 2019 Defensive Player of the Year, reached agreement on an two-year deal with the Colts, per source,” Schefter wrote. Gilmore was selected 10th overall by the Buffalo Bills in the 2012 NFL draft.

After five seasons in Buffalo, Gilmore signed a huge contract in New England in 2017, where he was the centerpiece of Bill Belichick’s secondary. Unfortunately, a quad injury and contract dispute led to the 2019 AP NFL DPOY being traded to the Panther in 2021, where he played in eight games. Now, the Colts are loaded on offense as well as defense and are ready to wreak havoc on teams in the 2022 season.
