The New England Patriots played against the Colts after their Bye Week. Unfortunately, the Patriots lost to the Colts 27-17. QB Mac Jones was 26 of 45 for 299 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Maybe the loss left the rookie QB in a mood because he was heard calling the team out for bad practices during the week in the post-game interview.
Ted Johnson criticise the rookie QB
Former Patriots linebacker Ted Johnson heavily criticised Mac Jones on his post-game interview. Johnson said, “(Mac Jones) He has always stuck to the script but this time he went off-script.” Johnson was surprised when he heard the Patriots QB say, ‘We were feeling sorry for ourselves. He feels Jones should not have criticised the players’ preparations and energy with him being only a rookie. “You’re a Rookie. Keep your mouth shut”, added Johnson.
He thinks the players were feeling sorry for themselves because they had to play on a Monday night and then again on Saturday night.

Ted Johnson’s theory
Ted thinks the reason why Mac Jones went off-script during the interview was that Belichick wanted Jones to say so. Ted argues that Bill Belichick wanted to send a message and call out the players through Jones about their bad performance during the last game. “It would be atypical of Belichick this year to come down really hard on the team,” said Johnson.
The Patriots are 9-5 so far this season. With three games left in the regular season, the Patriots need to step up and improve their game if they want a chance to get to the Super Bowl and show everyone that they can win it without Tom Brady.
