Aaron Rodgers claimed his second straight MVP award recently, taking his total MVPs to four. With that, his stock rises for potential teams to trade for him as well as for the Packers to want him to stay in Green Bay.

When the 2021 offseason drama between Rodgers and the Packers was settled, the agreement to see if they can win a Super Bowl this season to keep Rodgers around seemed to be something that would only delay the issues. However, the Packers came into the playoffs as one of the favorites with them being healthy, Rodgers still playing at a high level and the defense finally being more competitive than previous years.

But, of course, it all fell apart in just their first playoff game. Aaron Rodgers produced an absolute dud against the 49ers in the divisional round, resulting in a 13-10 loss. With that loss, the talk about where he’ll play in 2022 has resurfaced and Colin Cowherd has an idea where that could be.

On a segment of his show, ‘The Herd’, Colin Cowherd was quoted saying “Due to the Packers cap situation, I think they have peaked. If they sign Davante Adams and Aaron, they’re gonna have very little wiggle room. Their division’s lousy, they’ll still win that. But they do feel like they’re up against the cap, they’ll be very good on the top with a handful of great players but they won’t be very deep and if they run into injuries they won’t be a great team.”

About where Aaron Rodgers could play in 2022, Cowherd added “There is one team that stands alone, that Aaron could choose and it’s simply a better overall roster(than the Packers). It is, it’s indisputable. It’s Denver. Left tackle, pro bowler. Receivers, lots of them. Tight end, gifted. Running back, like Green Bay, great running back set.”

About Denver’s defense, Cowherd said “The defense has an outstanding secondary. A young star corner, a young star safety, pass rushers. Denver has a better roster than Green Bay. They just don’t have the quarterback figured out and Aaron is the last ingredient.”

The Broncos could move for the future Hall of Famer marking the second time that they go all-in on a veteran quarterback (Peyton Manning) to win immediately. If that is their only goal and they aren’t concerned with the potential college quarterbacks that could be available in the next few years, then this is definitely the move they need to make. They’ve done it before and that produced a ring.
