Talks about Tom Brady’s retirement always pop up around this time of the year. The 44-year-old quarterback was once again asked about his retirement plans. And it looks like the Buccaneers QB is still not ready to hang his cape.

Ahead of the Wild Card against the Philadephia Eagles, Tom Brady revealed when he will quit playing football. Brady is particularly vexed by the Eagles. This is because of his defeat to the Eagles in Super Bowl 52.

We at the age of forty-four, the 7x Super Bowl Champion has shown no signs of ‘sucking’, as per Tom Brady. He has always said “when I suck I’ll retire” when asked about his retirement. He elaborated this statement on Thursday while talking to FOX Sports. “I feel like I want to play as a championship-level player,” Brady said. “That’s what I’ve said for a long time. When I’m not able to do that — I said a long time ago, when I suck I’ll retire — but what I really meant was when I’m not capable of leading the team to victory, then someone else has to do the job.”

Bucs QB Tom Brady has played exceptionally this year as well. Brady won the NFL passing title this season. He threw for the most yards (a career-high 5,316) and touchdowns (43) while setting a league record for completions (485) on 719 attempts, second-most in a season in NFL history.

Brady added, “I feel like I can do that. Obviously, we’ve put ourselves in a decent position. Now we’re in the postseason and we’ve got to take care of a very tough opponent. I just love being out there with the guys. Let’s see if we can beat a really tough Eagles team. This team is going to challenge us, and I’m going to have to play good football.”

Tom Brady has outplayed every QB in the league including Green Bay Packers QB, Aaron Rodgers. There are talks about Brady being the league MVP this season which seems highly likely given his outstanding performance. Now that Brady’s retirement talks are out of the way, he can focus on defeating the Eagles and advancing in the Championship race.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers will face the Philadephia Eagles on Sunday night at the Raymond James Stadium.
