“Tom Brady will make the first call not to Bruce Arians,” Mike Florio makes bold claim regarding QB against Bucs Head Coach

Tom Brady announced his retirement from the NFL after a whopping 22 record-breaking seasons in February. However, ever since he called time on his career, rumours regarding his comeback have spread like wildfire.

The legendary quarterback failed to lead the Bucs to a successive Super Bowl appearance this year and decided it was time for him to hang up his boots. Many have claimed that Brady announced his retirement only to get himself out of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers contract.

Speaking it the particular context, Bucs Head coach Bruce Arians warned Tom Brady, that if he decides to come back into the league and play for another franchise, the Bucs would not assist him in getting out his contract.

Leading NFL analyst, Mike Florio, has fired back to Bruce Arians’ comments and supported the quarterback completely, on whatever he decides for his future.

“Any clumsy effort to huff and puff about Brady being the exclusive property of the Buccaneers and that the team wouldn’t allow him to pick his next destination will serve only to blow down the house of whoever tries to do it,” Florio wrote for PFT.

Mike Florio also stated that Bruce Arians does not have much power in his hands and that it would be the Tampa Bay Buccaneers GM, Jason Licht who would have to deal with the situation. Brady can also make a case for himself with the franchise owners if matters are not resolved at the lower level.

“So far, only Arians (true to form) has assumed the tough-guy posture on Brady’s contract. But Arians won’t be making the decision on this one. If/when Brady decides he wants to play again, he’ll make the first call not to Arians but to G.M. Jason Licht. If necessary, Brady will go to ownership and make the simple and persuasive case for his freedom.”

The current situation is precarious and it depends completely on what Tom Brady wants to do in the coming days of the offseason.
