Jon Gruden, the Los Angeles Raiders head coach has always been among the headline makers, be it because of his coaching methods, unique practice sessions or anything else. But this time he is among the news for all the wrong reasons. The Wall Street Journal made a disturbing revelation upon Jon Gruden’s Racist comments, which has gone buzzing on all social media.
Lately there was another instance which taken up by the fans when Urban Meyer’s viral video with a female companion cause chaos all around the world of NFL and American football. Having said that, Twitteratis had time to take their attention of Urban Meyer for a while and lash onto the Los Angeles raiders coach after Jon Gruden’s Racist comment went viral, leaving even his family and friends shocked.
Twitter Hits Back at Jon Gruden’s Racist Comments
In an email to Washington Football Team president Bruce Allen, Gruden called the NFLPA’s executive director, DeMaurice Smith, “Dumborris Smith,” and said that “he had lips the size of michellin tires.”
At the time, Gruden worked for ESPN as an analyst on Monday Night Football, seven years before he got back into coaching with the Raiders. The Raiders received an email regarding the incident and Gruden addressed the players on Friday about the issue. The coach later told ESPN.
“That might not have been the best time of my life. I vented a lot. I never felt we were getting the truth and honesty. I’m ashamed I insulted De Smith,” Gruden said, adding, “I never had a racial thought when I used it. I’m embarrassed by what’s out there. I certainly never meant for it to sound that bad.”
