Bryce Young’s immaculate college career

The Alabama quarterback Bryce Young had one of the best college football careers a QB could have. Yes, he failed to lead their team to a national championship victory, but other than that, the QB’s collegiate career was illustrious, to say the least.
Bryce Young was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on July 25, 2001. Coming out of high school, Young was a 5-star recruit and was the nation’s No.1 quarterback prospect. After receiving multiple D1 offers, the talented QB committed to Alabama Crimson Tide in 2019.
Young became the starter during his sophomore year and immediately impressed everyone. In 2021, Young threw for 4872 yards and 47 touchdowns, while throwing for just 7 interceptions. He also led Bama to the national championship game but failed to triumph over the Georgia Bulldogs. Nevertheless, Young was named the Heisman Trophy winner in 2021, an award given to the best college football player in the entire nation.
Bryce Young continued to put on a show in 2022 as he threw for 3382 yards and 32 touchdowns. After a successful collegiate career, Young announced in the first week of January that he will enter the 2023 NFL Draft.
Bryce Young’s draft stock

NFL teams evaluate players using various methods. There is NFL Combine, which is a process to determine the athlete’s physical abilities and then there are individual interviews, which is a process to evaluate a player’s mental toughness.
Besides, the athlete’s collegiate career also plays a huge part in his draft stock being high or low. Now, Bryce Young has accomplished a lot during his college career. He has led Alabama to a national championship game, has won the Heisman Trophy award, and has created magic on the field plenty of times. Those are the qualities that scouts look for in a player.
Young has good pocket presence, he’s accurate with the football and has excellent ball placement skills. Additionally, when his receivers aren’t getting open, he can use his legs to create something out of nothing. However, Young is also considered undersized to play as a QB in the NFL. He is officially listed as 5’10” in the combine, the same height as the Cardinals QB Kyler Murray.
Young’s skinny build has also become a cause of concern for the NFL franchises, but some scouts believe Bryce Young could change the way the game has been played for many decades and some teams are reportedly willing to bet on the Bama QB.
In Brief, Bryce Young might not be the first QB to come off the board in the 2023 NFL Draft, but he’s almost guaranteed to be drafted in the first round. There are multiple QB needing teams in the league that will be more than happy to rope in the 21-year-old QB.
