Tom Brady is arguably the greatest player the NFL has ever seen. The 45-year-old quarterback has finally called time on his distinguished professional career after being at the top for 23 long years.

Brady spent 20 years with the New England Patriots football team of the AFC East, where he ended up building a dynasty of sorts, winning a record six Super Bowl titles. He then went on to make a move to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and made his presence felt there as well, winning the seventh Super Bowl title in his first season with the franchise.

From being a backup quarterback to Drew Bledsoe to replacing him and eventually not only ruling AFC East but the league for nearly two decades, Brady has one hell of a legacy. Arguably the brand ambassador of the NFL all over the world, there is a lot of interest in Brady’s personal life, whether it be his relationship status with Gisele Bundchen to his early formative years before becoming the global icon that he is today.

Brady was born to humble parents, Galynn Brady and Thomas Brady Sr. on the 3rd of August in 1977. Tom Brady grew up in San Mateo, California, and attended the Junípero Serra High School, from which he graduated in 1995.

It comes as no surprise that Brady played football during his schooling years and was a huge NFL fan. He was also into other sports during his schooling years, which included baseball and basketball. Incidentally, he supported the San Francisco 49ers as a kid, a franchise that he went on to defeat numerous times in his career later on. Probably the most hated San Francisco 49ers fan by the respective team!

Brady played his college football for the University of Michigan, wherein he built his stocks as a regular quarterback coming out of college football at the time. Very few could have predicted that Brady would go on to become the player that he eventually did, given the performances he put in and his scores in the NFL scouting combine.

He was eventually drafted very late by the New England Patriots in the 2000 NFL draft, as a sixth-round overall 199th pick, a number which is now forever etched in NFL and sports history.
