Boston Bruins ‘The Rat’, Brad Marchand never misses a chance to roast someone. This has been very well proven in his recent roasting of former NHL player Paul Bissonnette on the NHL on TNT. Marchand was asked for an interview when he realized one was missing from their spot.
He hilariously asked where ‘Biz Nasty’ was and their conversation lightened up the NHL mood altogether. Marchand, much to his credit, has an excellent way of getting under the skin of players and staff members alike. Even former players are not out of his grasp.
During his interview on Sunday, Marchand tauntingly asked if Bissonnette was absent from his seat because of partying too hard. “He a little hungover right now or what”. The panel of interviewees informed the Bruins forward that it was ‘Biz Nasty’s birthday on Saturday.
In a quick comeback, Marchad roasted him stating, “Was it? Oh there you go, 50 comes quick”. While the NHL world is hoping for a comeback from Bissonnette soon, it is not yet confirmed. It’ll be hilarious if the duo started a spat on social media, but not very surprising at the same time.

Brad Marchand and Paul Bissonnette are the famous duos for chirping. They have always been entangled in hilarious jabs at each other, making their mic ’d-up the moment one of the best in the NHL. Although Bissonnette is just 3 years older than the 34-year-old, Marchand’s jab at age 50, was undoubtedly the best comeback.
One of their highlights was during the 2023 Winter Classic game when Bissonnette took a jab a Marchand, and his long nose, “Marchy, I’m surprised you didn’t put the eye block on the nose considering all the glare that’s coming off it”.
Marchand replied, “I got a little bit on there yesterday, and I couldn’t even play with the puck, so I had to make sure I stayed away from it today”. ”It’s a gift, bud. I can sniff anything.” The former NHLer went on to compare Marchand and Patrice Bergeron.
He said, “Between you and Bergeron there’s gonna be no oxygen in the building”. Marchand who is quick on comebacks didn’t waste a second to reply, “That’s why we’re playing outside. To make it fair to everyone”.
Brad Marchand is currently at a score of 55 points in 57 games with 20 goals and 35 assists in the 2022-23 season. In his NHL career, he has made 371 goals and 479 assists in 850 points with 931 games played. In their recent game, the Bruins lost 3-5 against the Detroit Red Wings, and are currently on 50-10-5 points.
