NHL villain and fan favorite, Brad Marchand once again made his special recipe on the ice during the faceoff against Seattle Kraken. During Thursday’s game the Boston Bruins forward dangerously tripped Kraken forward Oliver Bjorkstrand. The video got viral and a reference to his 2025 All-Star Game taunt was once again revived.

A few days back the Boston gator took to social media to taunt the reported 2025 All-Star Game cities, Seattle, Detroit, and Edmonton. He commented, “Lol can’t wait to see how many guys boycott that game”. His comments upset an array of fans with tension brewing upon Bruins as they visited Seattle for the match.

It was very well expected that Marchand would be hearing boos from the stand whenever he touched the puck on Thursday. The Seattle fans were not very happy to see him take on ice, especially after his take on social media. Nevertheless, it is true that those three cities are severely cold during winter.

The Boston Bruins won the game against Seattle Kraken with a record of 6-5. However, Brad Marchand taking on ice and getting off without any scrums is rarely seen. He proved his fans right when the on-ice battle took place between the forward and Kraken’s Oliver Bjorkstrand

The NHL fined Marchand $5k for the incident, the maximum charged under the current NHL Collective Bargaining Agreement. It seems in no time, Marchand will become a master of fines and suspensions in the league. Both players were charged following Marchand’s wrestling match with Oliver.

As the fans reacted on Twitter focusing on his taunting comment, Brad noted, “It depends how serious they want to take some tweets”. “A lot of what I do on social media is all in good fun. I like to joke around, it’s not meant to be taken seriously.”

“People do like to overreact these days, and I’m sure there will be some angry fans that thought I was being serious. But again, it was all in good fun.” “It’s not even for me”. “The chance of me being there is slim.”

“But there’s a little bit of truth to that where if you want guys to want to be there and want to be a part of it and actually make it enjoyable, then make it enjoyable for them. Going to Edmonton in the middle of winter time, or Detroit, isn’t where those guys want to be when everyone else on their team is away enjoying their vacation or time with their families.”

“No [player’s] family is going to want to come up here. Put it in places where guys want to be and make them want to be there, and they’ll make the game enjoyable. If not, then they’re going to be miserable while they’re there and try to get out of it certain ways.”

“That’s all the fans want: They want to see the best players and enjoy them at the game. To do that, put them in places where guys want to be.” There may be some truth in what he says, but the fans didn’t like him putting it down blatantly. Whenever Brad Marchand takes on ice, interesting things are sure to happen.
