Capitals’ wish came true as they passed the first half of their journey prior to the break on a high note. At the beginning of the January games, things started to dwindle, but thankfully the players seemed to have gotten a hold for the better.

In their recent game win, Kuznetsov came into the spotlight while tier captain Alex Ovechkin enjoyed a quiet night for the game. He only had 1 goal which was a sort of pause looking back at his achievements. Nevertheless, Kuzy’s slow shot hit hyped up the fans at the arena.

Fans witnessed quite an adrenaline-rushed game on Tuesday at the Nationwide Arena as the Capitals stepped into the All-Star weekend. During the overtime, Evgeny Kuznetsov, 30, shot the puck with 26 seconds remaining in the period.

So far now, Kuzy has not scored at his usual pace according to NBC Sports. Adding his current achievements to his 2022-23 season record, he has made 43 points in 52 games with 7 goals and 36 assists. In his NHL career, he has recorded 160 goals, and 379 assists in 539 points in 651 games played.

The team’s recent win will ensure their fourth place in the Metropolitan Division with a 27-20-6 record. Kuznetsov’s super slow move got popularized on social media as he hit successful shots into the net. His shot into the second period against the Pittsburgh Penguins Casey DeSmith demonstrated its power.

Fans were amazed by his shot and later he commented on his newly devised lethal weapon. Throughout this season he has been busy perfecting this skill in every game including games against St. Louis Blues, and Carolina Hurricanes.

Kuzy spoke to RMNB, “I don’t know to be honest with you”. “I don’t know what [the goalies] think but I feeling much more comfortable in terms of the timing and stick-handling. In terms of my angle, I feel much more comfortable when I’m coming slower.”

“You can ask them, they’re probably all different”. “I do look at the goalie for long time and see what he’s doing, how deep he is.” Though Kuznetsov didn’t agree or denied it, some reports say they were influenced by Blackhawks Patrick Kane.
