While some fans are excited about Florida Panthers’ advances against Carolina Hurricanes in the final-round series, some may not be as thrilled as others. Just before Game 3 began, Panthers defenceman Radko Gudas received a bomb threat on social media with his address on display.
The incident happened during the weekend when the Panthers took a 2-0 series lead over Hurricanes, concluding Game 2 with a 2-1 OT victory. The team has been on an absolute roll, as they eliminated the NHL’s leading regular season team Boston Bruins and the 1st round qualifiers Toronto Maple Leafs.
Along with them, the Cats dominated Games 1 and 2 against the Hurricanes. This may have rubbed the Canes fans in the wrong ways, but one among them took a severe step in this regard. The fan with the Twitter account “@canesplswin” posted the address of Radko Gudas collaging it with a photo of a pipe bomb.

The account has been deleted, but many have taken screenshots and shared the tweet among the community raising high concern. The FBI and Broward County Sheriff’s Office flooded the airport to keep the Panthers and Radko Gudas safe from any external threat.
The Panthers landed at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport ahead of Game 3 against the Hurricanes. High adrenaline-rushed series like the Stanley Cup playoffs often hype up by some fans in a negative way. They take drastic steps against their opponents, throwing off the fun part of the game itself.
One more disturbing incident fans can relate to in the 2023 playoff series was the Edmonton Oilers vs. Los Angeles Kings series. Oilers Evander Kane noted how a Kings fan spitted on a young Oilers fan who was a cancer survivor. The girl was a big fan of Kane and went to watch his game, but instead became the victim of a disturbing incident.
Game 3 between Pathers and Hurricanes ended with the Cats taking a 1-0 lead over Canes. Social media hailed Panthers goalie Sergei Bobrovsky for his magnificent performance, especially after captain Aleksander Barkov’s game exit in 1st period.
Barkov got slammed onto the boards by Canes’ forward Jack Drury early in the period and went back into the locker room. The team noted that the forward was suffering from a lower-body injury but no other specifications were announced.
Game 3 was also attended by Panthers big fan Brooks Koepka. The pro golfer won the PGA Championship just a day ago, becoming the 1st LIV player to win a major title. He attended the arena with the trophy cup by his side, where he was later joined by Brady Tkachuk according to reports.
