Roman Reigns’ Family Member Slams CM Punk for Taking That Late Father Dig at the OTC
Nia Jax has sided with her cousin Roman Reigns after the latter had his late father dragged into their heated exchange on Raw.

Roman Reigns was left dumbstruck by CM Punk on this week’s Raw when the ‘Best in the World’ brought up his late father, Sika. ‘The Second City Saint’, as many are already complaining online, crossed his limits by affirming to bury Reigns next to his father, who passed away last year in June. It was a mic drop moment and had the entire wrestling community talking.
One of Reigns’ relatives from his legendary Anoa’i family, Nia Jax, was recently asked about what she made of Punk stooping to the lows that he did on Raw. “I think small men bark loud,” said Jax in her opening statement on Beyond The Bell podcast. She found it amusing that the former AEW star exited the ring as soon as he aimed that deeply personal dig at ‘The Tribal Chief’.
Nia Jax comments on CM Punk’s line about Roman Reigns’ father:

“I think small men bark loud. In that moment right there, he was probably feeling a little confident. It’s funny because you see him walk away right after he says that line.
That doesn’t bother me because I know… pic.twitter.com/xBZlmEUnOm
‘The Irresistible Force’ said that she’s unfazed despite Punk trying to stir the pot in a way he knows best—talking trash about his opponents on the mic. The former women’s champion affirmed that she’s confident about the physical capabilities of the Samoan dynasty, which, as Jax quoted, has been blazing the trail for almost three decades now.
The Sydney-born wrestler concluded by declaring that the ‘Second City Saint’ could say whatever he wanted to, but Jax made it clear that ‘The OTC’ will strike in the ring with the ultimate prize on the line. Roman Reigns has the backing of his distant cousin, and it appears like he needs more of the same moving forward. As noted by Punk during his promo exchange with Reigns, the latter is left without a wise man in his ears.
‘The Cookie Master’ never fails to remind the former Bloodline leader that he took Paul Heyman away from him. ‘The Straight Edge Superstar’ also brought up how The Usos are no longer backing Reigns up all the time, as the tag team duo has its own woes, particularly with The Vision.
With his next WWE appearance set for 3/16 Raw in Texas, it’d be interesting to see how Roman Reigns would bounce back after being totally ruffled by CM Punk this past Monday night.
Roman Reigns calling Cody Rhodes a politician doesn’t bother the latter
A few months ago, it seemed as if WWE was planning to have Roman Reigns complete his trilogy with Cody Rhodes by letting them go at each other at WrestleMania 42. The plan was eventually dropped after Triple H allegedly decided that running it this year would lead to audience fatigue.
Rhodes, who has been portrayed as a true ambassador and the face of WWE in the past couple of years or more, has been dubbed a politician by Reigns in the past.

Does the former AEW EVP ever take offense to it? Breaking the ice on the matter, the North Carolina native said on his What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast that he’s not mad at his great rival for calling him by that name. ‘The Prodigal Son’ explained that everyone is a politician to a certain degree in the business that he grew up in. But snaking and backstabbing is where he drew the line.
Cody Rhodes says he wasn’t mad when Roman Reigns called him a politician:

“Roman Reigns called me a politician one time, and I remember thinking, I'm not mad at that. I grew up in the business. Everyone is [a politician] to a degree.
But to me, there's politics, there's… pic.twitter.com/O6PmZsL4gu
Rhodes stated that the current roster members don’t mince their words and described them as straight up. The 2-time Undisputed WWE Champion stressed that being open to getting one’s opinions weighed while making a decision is a common practice these days, as folks backstage are pretty vocal about their likes and dislikes.
Even Roman Reigns, for that matter, has been more often than not deemed a politician for having a backstage pull in the company. It was recently revealed through a report from WON that Reigns and Heyman convinced Vince McMahon to book Rhodes to lose at WrestleMania 39. ‘The QB1’ was initially set to dethrone
‘The OTC’ under the bright lights of SoFi Stadium itself until the Reigns/Heyman pairing allegedly won McMahon over, and it resulted in a two-year feud between the two, which also saw The Rock play a major role culminating at WrestleMania XL.
