Nick Kyrgios has been persistently censuring Jannik Sinner due to the doping scandal, owing to which he is at the receiving end of criticism from Sinner’s supporters. When he saw a tweet from Boris Becker seemingly mocking the Aussie for his criticism of the Italian, he didn’t hesitate in calling the tennis great a ‘criminal’.

Sinner has been given a three-month ban by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) for negligence by his team members. He was contaminated by the banned anabolic steroid clostebol twice and has been incurring the wrath of Kyrgios since the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) announced he failed the drug test.

Recently, a social media user ridiculed Kyrgios for his constant criticism of the 23-year-old. In the post, Kyrgios’ picture was morphed into an old man lying on a hospital bed and grumbling about how he never won a big title because Sinner tested positive twice and the whole anti-doping system is rigged.

Boris Becker comes out in defense of Carlos Alcaraz

Carlos Alcaraz recently fell to Jiri Lehecka 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 in the quarterfinal of the Qatar Open. When the four-time Grand Slam champion was 4-2 in the second set and had a 40-30 lead, he couldn’t capitalize on it, and in no time, he was knocked out of the ATP 500 tournament. Following his exit, Boris Becker said he has full confidence in the young Spaniard that he will gradually learn to be more consistent.

Carlos is still very young ( 21) , consistency will come with age …but still love his style and charisma!

Last year as well, Alcaraz struggled with consistency issues as he could win just four titles (though he completed the rare Channel Slam). The Qatar Open was Alcaraz’s third tournament of the season following the Australian Open and the Rotterdam Open.

He was aiming for the Career Grand Slam in Melbourne but suffered a four-set defeat to Novak Djokovic in the quarterfinal. Following the Major event, the 21-year-old clinched the title in Rotterdam with a three-set win over Alex de Minaur.
