If there is one person who knows a thing or two about college football, it is Nick Saban. After all, he does have seven national championships. After retiring from his head coaching role at Alabama, he has taken on a role with ESPN on its College Gameday show. Yesterday, as the Colorado Buffaloes geared up to take on the UCF Knights, Saban made a surprising pick.
Nick Saban predicted that UCF would beat Deion Sanders and his Colorado Buffaloes. His pick took a lot of the College Gameday crew by shock, but it was his wife Terry Saban, present on the panel, who was most surprised.
But Terry Saban was not pleased with her husband opting to go against his friend Deion Sanders. Terry gasped in awe after hearing Nick Saban’s pick.
She proceeded to pick the Colorado Buffaloes to win because she was rooting for Deion Sanders and his son Shedeur to win the game.
Terry Saban’s prediction of the Colorado-UCF game ended up being true
The wife of the 10-time SEC champion wound up being right. Maybe Nick Saban has lost his edge over the game after retiring! Jokes apart, the Colorado Buffaloes were able to contain UCF’s run game. They restricted them to 177 yards rushing and an average of 5.8 yards per play.
Quarterback KJ Jefferson threw for 2 touchdowns and 284 yards, but it was his 2 turnovers that cost his team. Shedeur Sanders and the Colorado offense were phenomenal as the quarterback threw for 290 yards, 3 touchdowns, and 1 interception.
Travis Hunter put up yet another stellar performance and made his case stronger to be considered as a Heisman candidate.

Hunter had 4 receptions, 89 yards, and 1 touchdown. He showed up on the defensive end of the ball as well. The Buffaloes held the Knights to zero points in the fourth quarter and ended the game with a dominant 48-21 win. The highlight of the game was Travis Hunter’s Heisman celebration right after he secured an interception.
With this win, the Buffs move to a 4-1 record and hand UCF its first loss of the season. Surely, Nick Saban will get an interesting message from Deion Sanders later this week once the head coach catches wind of his prediction!
