The Kansas City Chiefs led by Patrick Mahomes faced a shocking defeat against the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship Game at their home ending their dream of 3rd straight AFC Title and winning the Super Bowl after they started the game with such dominance.

Chiefs at one point in the 2nd quarter led by 21-3 against the Bengals as they were looking like running away with the AFC Title with the Cincinnati team having no answers to Patrick Mahomes’ wizardry and a resilient Chiefs defense who were able to stop Joe Burrow until then.

Patrick Mahomes then threw another interception during the overtime to which Bengals took advantage as Burrow led a game-winning drive capped off by a walkway field goal by the rookie kicker, which sent them to the Super Bowl and knocked out the Kansas City Chiefs.

“The Final play of the first half rekt him somehow and he was not able to get over it”- Nick Wright on Patrick Mahomes

Nick Wright on First Things First said, “The final play of the first half was the brain lapse that was ringing for me and that rekt Mahomes somehow and he was unable to get over it.“, He added, “How am I doing? Terribly. Will it get better? No.”

The Kansas City Chiefs on the final play of the first half were unable to score a single point despite them being in the RedZone which would have stretched their lead from 21-10 to 24-10 or 28-10 which would have sealed the game for them but because of one less timeout which was wasted while taking a challenge in the first quarter might have cost the Chiefs another AFC Title.

Nick Wright further spoke about the meltdown of the Chiefs after blowing away an 18-point lead by saying, “As Patrick Mahomes on his journey to being the ‘GOAT’ and the Chiefs journey to ‘A Dynasty’, one of the few boxes that they didn’t have checked was blowing a big lead in the AFC Championship Game which the Tom Brady led Patriots famously did.
