On Friday night, an epic battle was seen between the Chicago Bulls and Indiana Pacers where Nikola Vucevic stole the show. In this game, he equated himself to Michael Jordan and achieved something that no other Bulls player has ever come close to.

Nikola Vucevic was seen playing an aggressive game against the Pacers he recorded his second straight 30 points which help the Bulls to remain in the first seed of the eastern conference and win their fourth game out of six in the absence of star guard Zach LaVine.

Vucevic was absolutely dominating the paint area with his giant body and he scored 36 points, 17 rebounds, and four assists. According to ESPN Stats & Info, “he is the first Bulls player since Michael Jordan in 1996 with 35 points, 15 rebounds & 3 blocks in a single game.”

Vucevic led the Bulls from the start as he scored his 13 points in the first quarter of the game. In the second quarter, he seemed less effective due to which he sat on the bench for more than four minutes and scored only 5 points. Later he ca=me back on the court for the third quarter where he regains his game flow and dropped 12 points which broke the Pacers’ motives.

In the postgame interview, he discussed his performance and why being the tall guy on the floor is tough for him. He said, “It’s like people think he has this huge size advantage but I’m not really used to playing against smaller guys like that, it was a lot of seals in the post so a lot of my points were easy. It’s just a different look and different for me.”

Even Coach Donovan praised Nikola Vucevic and said, “I was really, really impressed with what he did at the rim tonight, he had a couple of really good blocks and he made some guys miss some shots as well.”

The Bulls won an interesting match while Vucevic got a lot of support from DeMar DeRozan as he scored 31 points and Dosunmu finished with 15 points and 14 assists. Despite Vucevic creating a franchise record, the victory was the collective effort of the team.
